A Mediterranean Economic Week, for what purpose?

From their geographical position, Marseille and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur have established their history, their harbour, the companies which make them up and the close links that they have been able to develop with all of the surrounding Mediterranean area; an important hub of Euro-Mediterranean partnerships. The alliance of solid expertise and concrete, unifying projects, the distinct political will of local and regional communities and the rallying of civil society, companies and socio-economical workers make the Provincial area a major platform for economic development in the Mediterranean. For international companies, this area also represents and way into the Euro-Mediterranean territory, Africa, and the important markets that they represent.

The objective of the Mediterranean Economic Week is to give more visibility to the many local initiatives that contribute to the development of Mediterranean economies.  It will thus provide comprehensive and documented input on economic development issues in the Mediterranean.
